Happy New Year! Akemashite omedeto!
Wishing all of you the best of luck, love, and cheer for 2013!
I’ve still got a TON of things to write about that happened in 2012 — shame on me for being slow about writing up my travel posts! But, I’ve been working on a new website that I hope to announce early in 2013, so do look out for that!
2012 has been a crazy busy year!
I traveled to Nagano, Okinawa, two of the Benesse Art Sites (Naoshima and Inujima), Okayama, Kagoshima, and even set foot on Shikoku for a day. See I wasn’t lying – I’ve got so many travel posts to write still! osoku natte, sumimasen… ^^;;;
I went snowboarding for the first (& maybe last? ha!) time. I was able to witness my town’s very own Kite-Fighting Festival. I went to a LOT of live concerts!! Lady Gaga, SCANDAL, FLiP, TsuShiMaMiRe… My photography was published in tsuki magazine! Two of my dearest friends got married!!
But, the biggest news of all in 2012, was that after two years of living and teaching English in Japan, I moved back to California. My two years overseas in Japan just zoomed by… Time really does fly when you’re having fun! I’ve spent the last few months trying to get settled back in and adjusting to my new “old” life again.
2012 was great, 2011 was awesome, and 2012 was, to be honest, a mixed bag, but that’s all in the past now! Cheers to 2013!! The road ahead of me is like a book of blank pages, so while my husband and I both have goals we wish to accomplish throughout this next year, we both agree that life is unpredictable and anything can happen, and we’re just going to hope for the best and see where life takes us.
